Dream Big Like a Smart Leaders

DREAM BIG LIKE SMART LEADERS.....
“Dreams are at the center of any effort to make things better.”
A dream that we understand that we can make a difference in the world, and that how we do the things we do is just as important as why.
“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
 #Habits_of_Big_Dreamers-
1.) Acknowledge Your Style:
Every great leader knows their strong points and their not so strong points. What qualities do you possess? Where do you need improvement? Asking yourself these kinds of questions will allow you to analyze what you already know and what you need to learn.
2.) Be a Role Model:
Without followers, you cannot be a leader. You need to give people a reason to follow your lead.
3.) Encourage Teamwork:
Leaders motivate and encourage others. They believe in their talents as much as they believe in their own, so don’t take on tasks alone.
4.) Listen and Communicate:
Being a great leader means you listen to your co-workers ideas and concerns, you pay attention to what works and what doesn’t, and you openly communicate your thoughts with those around you. You are open to change if it benefits the business and its workers.
5.) Stay Educated:
A passionate leader doesn’t settle for what they know and just keep rolling with that. They’re always looking for a way to broaden their knowledge in their field, how to expand their creative way of thinking, and any possible way they can learn and help the business grow.

HOW TO DREAM BIG:
1- A big dream is a substantial wish or an aspiration for something, of which when we attain it; we believe it would fulfill or satisfy an inner longing or desire.
2-Knowing what your big dream is, why and when to achieve it, is a powerful driving force.
3- Ask yourself – Are your dreams big enough?
4-Start off with a big vision then break it down into bite-sized pieces.
5- It takes hard work and patience to accomplish your dreams.
6- Develop smaller goals which all feed into your big dream.
7- Develop a visual portfolio of what your definition of success looks like.
8- Strategize and develop a plan for how you will achieve your dream.
9- You will learn from mistakes and failures.
10- Develop your risk tolerance; plan as best as you can, gradually build up your risk appetite by completing one small task at a time.

At last, I just want to say...
It needs a lot of courage to show Your Big Dreams to someone else.

Dream Right Towards People

Dream Right Towards People
Dreams are valuable commodities. They propel us forward. They give us energy. They make us enthusiastic. Everyone ought to have a dream. But what if you’re not sure whether you have a dream you want to pursue? Let’s face it. Many people were not encouraged to dream. Others have dreams but lose hope and set them aside.I want you to know that there’s good news. You can find or recapture your dreams. And they can be big dreams, not that all dreams have to be huge to be worth pursuing. They just need to be bigger than you are.

As actress Josie Bisset remarked, “Dreams come a size too big so we can grow into them.” If you’ve given up hope, lost sight of your dream or never connected with something that you think is worth dreaming and working toward, perhaps it would help you to learn about the five most common reasons why people have trouble identifying their dream: Some people have been discouraged from dreaming by others, Some people are hindered by past disappointments and hurts, Some people get in the habit of settling for average,Some people lack the confidence needed to pursue their dreams and some people lack the imagination to dream. As we notice all of these situations have one thing in common along with the dream i.e people. There are an infinite variety of people in the world with different thoughts and different dreams. Deciding to follow your dreams is a choice. A choice to rise about mediocrity and to become extraordinary. Your life will change drastically once you make the choice not to settle for a mediocre life. Quit blindly accepting your life as it is and begin to live your life as it is meant to be. All you have to do is make a choice. The choice to follow your dreams instead of being mediocre. You can stop waiting for someone to tell you that you are good enough, or smart enough, or have the right qualifications to live your dreams. The truth is that nobody is going to give you permission, and you don’t need it anyway. You can give yourself self permission to start living your dreams today. You have to stop doubting yourself if you want to live your dreams.

Self-doubt is like a cancer that will spread to all areas of your life if you let it. You must eradicate it before you can move forward. Don’t let yourself or others limit your dreams. You can achieve anything that you desire in life if you are willing to do what it takes to achieve it. The only limits on your dreams are the ones you set for yourself. If you believe in yourself there is nothing that you can’t achieve. The majority of people are confined to a life of mediocrity because they don’t bother making a determined effort in the pursuit of what their heart yearns for, and they just live their whole lives like cowards, afraid to move out of their comfort zone. When you stop focusing on your limiting beliefs, your fears, you are able to see a path to your dreams.

If you want to live the life of your dreams you need to focus on the present, keep your eyes on the future, and leave the past behind.Use what you have learned from the past to help you reach your goals and live your dreams. Then, close the book on the past and move forward with your life. Overcome these behaviors, face your fears, leave the past behind and move forward to the life of your dreams today. If you truly want to live the life of your dreams you need to stop distracting yourself with all of the things you could do, and focus on what you were created to do.

Building Confidence and Destroying Fear

Building Confidence and Destroying Fear
Self-confidence is defined as a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment. Self-confidence is important to your health and psychological well-being. Having a healthy level of self-confidence can help you become successful in your personal and professional life.
Throughout our lives we grow and go through many things. Since childhood we are taught one thing in school: how to be confident. There is a fine line between confident and overconfident. As children the concept of confidence is very vague to us. In 2019, I had conducted a workshop for underprivileged children to teach them about confidence. It's as simple as one tagline that we taught them "I can do this"
Confidence is as basic as that. However, while most kids have the right amount of confidence needed, children who grow up in a negative households have great self esteem issues. They are silenced when they attempt to speak or they are neglected. This makes its way through the school life of the child. For example, even if the child knows the answer, they hold back for the fear of being wrong. And that's how low confidence starts. Other aspects that contribute to fear and low confidence are  public speaking, lack of emotional support and not being informed enough. It's necessary that schools have sessions for confidence building so children learn to believe in themselves and not be afraid.
When you feel confident in yourself, you’re able to devote your resources to the task at hand. Rather than waste time and energy worrying that you aren't good enough, you can devote your energy to your efforts. So ultimately, you'll perform better when you feel confident. For example, if you feel confident about a presentation you’re going to make, you’ll focus on delivering your message to your audience. If however, you lack confidence in your ability to communicate, you may worry that no one is listening. You might struggle to concentrate and you may stumble over your words—which may reinforce your belief that you are bad at giving presentations. As much as confidence building starts in childhood, there are ways by which the damage of low confidence can be undone. The most important thing is to:
 1. Stop comparing- yourself to others. We need to understand that everyone has their own journey and is special in their own way. One thing I've grown to believe is that you are as special as the person you compare yourself to. However, sometimes people just have access to resources more than you do. In such circumstances you need to work harder and provide for yourself. A classic example of such a case is nepotism. You could be as skilled and talented as someone else but they might get the job or seat because of personal connections. In such cases you should realise that it's NOT your fault. Infact this should be taken up as a challenge. Pay attention to times when you compare your wealth, possessions, skills, achievements, and attributes. Thinking that other people are better or have more will erode your confidence in yourself. When you notice you are drawing comparisons, remind yourself that doing so isn’t helpful. Everyone is running their own race and life isn’t a competition.
 2. Groom Yourself -
If your body is healthy your mind is healthy and vice versa. Confidence is about how you perceive yourself. And all this comes from your mind. It’s hard to feel good about yourself if you’re abusing your body. Skipping sleep, eating an unhealthy diet, and refraining from exercise will take a toll on your well-being. Studies consistently show physical activity boosts confidence. When you’re feeling at your best physically, you’ll naturally feel more confident about yourself.
 3. Cut yourself some slack -
Most of the times we tend to talk very harshly about ourselves. In our mind we call ourselves unworthy or useless. It's even worse when we hear this from someone else, like our parents, teachers or friends. The human brain tends to believe negative comments faster than positive ones. Therefore rather than believing what others say, it's necessary that you give yourself positive pep- talks and be compassionate with yourself. Self-compassion involves treating yourself with kindness when you make a mistake, fail, or experience a setback. Speaking to yourself harshly, won’t motivate you to do better. In fact, it tends to have the opposite effect. Rather than beat yourself up or call yourself names, try speaking to yourself like you’d talk to a trusted friend. Cut yourself some slack, laugh at yourself, and remind yourself that no one is perfect.
 4. Be spontaneous -
Sometimes, people put off doing things like inviting someone on a date or applying for a promotion until they feel more confident. But sometimes, the best way to gain confidence is by doing. Practice facing some of your fears that stem from a lack of self-confidence. If you’re afraid you’ll embarrass yourself or you think that you’re going to mess up, try it anyway.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t prepare or practice, of course. If you have a big speech coming up, practice in front of your friends and family so you’ll gain some confidence. But don’t wait until you feel 100% confident before you proceed. You might never get there.
5. Challenge Yourself -
Most of the times we're too afraid to do things because we afraid being ridiculed. This can be something as simple as getting a haircut that's different from your usual ones. We're constantly thinking of "what will people say". However, when your brain tells you that you have no business speaking up in a meeting or that you are too out of shape to work out, remind yourself that your thoughts aren’t always accurate. Sometimes, the best way to deal with negative self-talk is by challenging those statements. Try doing things that your brain tells you that you can’t. Tell yourself it’s just an experiment and see what happens. You might learn that being a little anxious or making a few mistakes isn’t as bad as you thought. And each time you move forward you can gain more confidence in yourself.
It's important to know the difference between confidence and over confidence. The right amount of confidence can do wonders but overconfidence can be a downfall. It will bring down everything you believe in and be a massive blow to your self esteem. Once again, over confidence is also simple to identify. Someone who thinks they're extremely good at driving might want to drink and drive because they're over confident about their skills. However, after one accident, they might be phobic to even sit in thr passenger's seat, let alone hold a wheel. Thats how bad overconfidence can get.
"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face"

Make Your Attitudes Your Allies

MAKE YOUR ATTITUDE YOUR ALLIES
by
@Ragavi  #MBA #ManagerHR #AirCrews, #Aviation,  #PvtLtd,

In every aspect of your life, your attitude plays a big role. If you want to get ahead and be content in your life, then you have to make your attitude your ally. Your attitude mirrors in everything you do and everything that happens to you. What is referred to as The Law of Attraction is the concept that whatever you put out comes back to you. This is the whole idea of making your attitude your ally. In order to make your attitude your ally, you have to learn what that means. You have to learn how to make your attitude positive and how to implement the idea of making your attitude your confederate in your life.
As you will learn your attitude can paint your whole life and you can change everything about your current circumstances just by letting your attitude lead you. When you figuratively look at the idea of making your attitude your ally, what you see is that it, basically, means the attitude you display is going to reflect in the path you take in life. Making your attitude your ally is about cherry-picking what that ally is going to be. Is it going to be negative or positive? Is it going to be about hard work or laziness? The attitude you choose to have in life is going to stimulus everything that happens during life, so choose that ally wisely. So, the best thing to do is to adopt a positive attitude so your ally is a positive path. You have to choose to adopt a positive attitude in order to make it your ally.
It is a common understanding that your attitude silhouettes many aspects of your life. Many people believe that a positive attitude brings about optimistic things, while a negative attitude brings negativity. A positive attitude has a way of even impelling your environment, but it may not be in the way you think. Just because you have this positive attitude does not mean that everything will inevitably go your way. When you think positively you will be less likely to see the deleterious in things and therefore your environment will appear to change. You will probably start to notice the little things more than ever before and that will have a nice effect on you.
You will be able to start believing in yourself. It will allow you to believe that you can accomplish something if you put your mind to it. You will be able to set goals and reach them because you will believe that you can do it. You will not have that negative energy to hold you back.A positive attitude is very influential. It will start to shape everyone and everything around you. You are going to see the great power it has almost immediately. The power of a positive attitude is anything but subtle.

Manage Your Environment, Make your Attitude your Allies

Manage Your Environment, Make your Attitude your Allies
This environment consists of countless triggers that would influence, provoke thoughts consciously, or subconsciously.  The most complex machine on the planet right now is the human mind. It is what it is fed just like our body is what we fed over a period. Unlike the body food which is available in any kitchen or restaurant, the environment around us is the food for the mind.
If you notice well, most of our habits are picked up from other people around us. Everything around us influences us in whittling and making us think the way we do. The size of our contemplations, goals, attitudes and the very personality are formed by the environment around us. A prolonged association with negative thinkers makes us think negatively, on the other hand, being with people with bright ideas raises the level of our thinking. Just like how our body turns into good shape with proper care and good feed, our mind also can be reconditioned for success. Feeling that your ambition or goal is far beyond your reach is the number one obstacle on the path to high-level success.
Prolonged association with negative people makes us think negatively; close contact with petty individuals develops petty habits in us. On the bright side, companionship with people with big ideas raises the level of our thinking; close contact with ambitious people gives us ambition. Experts agree that the person you are today, your personality, ambitions, and present status in life, are largely the result of your psychological environment. And experts agree also that the person you will be one, five, ten, twenty years from now depends almost entirely on your future environment.
You will change over the months and years. This we know. But how you will change depends on your future environment, the mind food you feed yourself.
You are judged by the company you keep, like a famous quote "Birds of a feather do flock together" The size of our thinking is directly influenced by our group around. Make sure that you are in a flock that thinks right. Do not let negative thinkers pull you down to their level. Cling to people who progressively. Move upward with them. This can be done by just simply thinking right!

Conversation is a big part of our psychological environment. Some conversation is healthy. It encourages you. It makes you feel like you're taking a walk in the warm sunshine of a spring day. Some conversation makes you feel like a winner.
But other conversations are more like walking through a poisonous, radioactive cloud. It chokes you. It makes you feel ill. It turns you into a loser.

Go first class: that is an excellent rule to follow in everything you do.

HOW TO BUILD CONFIDENCE AND DESTROY FEAR

I came across a great quote from Bertrand Russell,
“Fear is the main source of superstition, and one of the main sources of cruelty. To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom.”
“To start something new, you have to leave something behind.  There is a fear of the unknown.  The first step is to overcome your fear.”
By conquering your fears, you are not only on the path to wisdom, you are on the path to success.  In Straight Talk for Success, I point out that Self Confidence is an important key to success.
If you want to become self confident, you need to do three things:
1) Become an optimist
2) Face your fears and acts
 3) Surround yourself with positive people.
Fear causes inaction. When I find myself procrastinating, I always ask, “What are you afraid of here”  Once I identify my fear, I can accept it and take action. Action cures fears.  Inaction and procrastination feed it.
I have found that there are three types of fear that hold me  and most people back from achieving success.
  • Fear of Failure
  • Fear of Criticism
  • Fear of Rejection
The common senses point here is simple.  Facing your fears and taking action will help build your core level of self confidence.  Here are some ideas on how to face your fears.  Focus on the big picture, not the potential for small failures – or small successes for that matter.  Do something.  Follow the principle of kaizen (continuous improvement). Don’t let success go to your head, nor let failure stop you from trying again.  Appreciate your small wins; take motivation from them.  Learn from your small failures.  Use what if it is to develop contingency plans, not to stop you in your tracks.  Don’t focus on what other people think.  Instead focus on what you can do to make your best contribution.  Take a big picture and a long term perspective.  Have faith in your ability to succeed long term.  Don’t let fear paralyze you.  Face your fears.  Act.  Build you self confidence.  Succeed.

               HOW TO DREAM BIG
I’m a firm believer that if you want to achieve great things in life, you need to set goals. They are a great way to determine a clear direction of where you want to go. I always set myself goals, both in my fitness routine and other areas of my life. This helps me to dream big and keep getting better at everything I do. It also helps with tracking my progress on a regular basis.
Dreams don’t have to only exist when you are sleeping. I see a lot of women who do not truly realize what they are capable of, so they dream small or don’t dream at all. One of the biggest lessons I have learned in the last two years is that anything is truly possible. With hard work, determination and some smart planning, you really are capable of so much more than you think. Don’t ever underestimate what you are capable of. Remember to dream big and aim highWhile it’s important to dream big, it can seem overwhelming  when we set huge goals. We can be unsure how to get there, resulting in nothing gets done at all. So while you should dream big, it’s important to plan small. Break down your big goals into smaller ones and then tackle them individually. When it’s broken down into achievable phases, it feels more manageable and you are more likely to keep moving ahead.
For e.g; If you want to run a marathon, you would start with a goal of running 10k, rather than just focusing on the entire 26.2 to start. Then ensure you celebrate each milestone along the way. This will help keep you working hard and motivated. It’s really important to surround yourself with people who are like-minded and supportive. Don’t try and do it all alone. Ask your family and friends, or even find yourself a mentor or coach that can support you along the way. The more positive influences you have around when working towards these goals, the better. It’s also a great motivation when you find someone who has already achieved what you want and can help guide you through the process.
Simply wanting something is not enough. Reaching your goals is no one else’s responsibility but your own. Goals written down on a piece of paper are a great idea, but if you don’t go out there and take action, then what’s the point! You must do everything you can to get what you want. If the overall task seems hard, break it down and do something small each day. Taking small steps consistently over time will eventually lead you to reaching your goals. As the saying goes, it may not happen overnight but it will happen, as long as you keep taking action.
