Manage Your Environment, Make your Attitude your Allies

Manage Your Environment, Make your Attitude your Allies
This environment consists of countless triggers that would influence, provoke thoughts consciously, or subconsciously.  The most complex machine on the planet right now is the human mind. It is what it is fed just like our body is what we fed over a period. Unlike the body food which is available in any kitchen or restaurant, the environment around us is the food for the mind.
If you notice well, most of our habits are picked up from other people around us. Everything around us influences us in whittling and making us think the way we do. The size of our contemplations, goals, attitudes and the very personality are formed by the environment around us. A prolonged association with negative thinkers makes us think negatively, on the other hand, being with people with bright ideas raises the level of our thinking. Just like how our body turns into good shape with proper care and good feed, our mind also can be reconditioned for success. Feeling that your ambition or goal is far beyond your reach is the number one obstacle on the path to high-level success.
Prolonged association with negative people makes us think negatively; close contact with petty individuals develops petty habits in us. On the bright side, companionship with people with big ideas raises the level of our thinking; close contact with ambitious people gives us ambition. Experts agree that the person you are today, your personality, ambitions, and present status in life, are largely the result of your psychological environment. And experts agree also that the person you will be one, five, ten, twenty years from now depends almost entirely on your future environment.
You will change over the months and years. This we know. But how you will change depends on your future environment, the mind food you feed yourself.
You are judged by the company you keep, like a famous quote "Birds of a feather do flock together" The size of our thinking is directly influenced by our group around. Make sure that you are in a flock that thinks right. Do not let negative thinkers pull you down to their level. Cling to people who progressively. Move upward with them. This can be done by just simply thinking right!

Conversation is a big part of our psychological environment. Some conversation is healthy. It encourages you. It makes you feel like you're taking a walk in the warm sunshine of a spring day. Some conversation makes you feel like a winner.
But other conversations are more like walking through a poisonous, radioactive cloud. It chokes you. It makes you feel ill. It turns you into a loser.

Go first class: that is an excellent rule to follow in everything you do.

HOW TO BUILD CONFIDENCE AND DESTROY FEAR

I came across a great quote from Bertrand Russell,
“Fear is the main source of superstition, and one of the main sources of cruelty. To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom.”
“To start something new, you have to leave something behind.  There is a fear of the unknown.  The first step is to overcome your fear.”
By conquering your fears, you are not only on the path to wisdom, you are on the path to success.  In Straight Talk for Success, I point out that Self Confidence is an important key to success.
If you want to become self confident, you need to do three things:
1) Become an optimist
2) Face your fears and acts
 3) Surround yourself with positive people.
Fear causes inaction. When I find myself procrastinating, I always ask, “What are you afraid of here”  Once I identify my fear, I can accept it and take action. Action cures fears.  Inaction and procrastination feed it.
I have found that there are three types of fear that hold me  and most people back from achieving success.
  • Fear of Failure
  • Fear of Criticism
  • Fear of Rejection
The common senses point here is simple.  Facing your fears and taking action will help build your core level of self confidence.  Here are some ideas on how to face your fears.  Focus on the big picture, not the potential for small failures – or small successes for that matter.  Do something.  Follow the principle of kaizen (continuous improvement). Don’t let success go to your head, nor let failure stop you from trying again.  Appreciate your small wins; take motivation from them.  Learn from your small failures.  Use what if it is to develop contingency plans, not to stop you in your tracks.  Don’t focus on what other people think.  Instead focus on what you can do to make your best contribution.  Take a big picture and a long term perspective.  Have faith in your ability to succeed long term.  Don’t let fear paralyze you.  Face your fears.  Act.  Build you self confidence.  Succeed.

               HOW TO DREAM BIG
I’m a firm believer that if you want to achieve great things in life, you need to set goals. They are a great way to determine a clear direction of where you want to go. I always set myself goals, both in my fitness routine and other areas of my life. This helps me to dream big and keep getting better at everything I do. It also helps with tracking my progress on a regular basis.
Dreams don’t have to only exist when you are sleeping. I see a lot of women who do not truly realize what they are capable of, so they dream small or don’t dream at all. One of the biggest lessons I have learned in the last two years is that anything is truly possible. With hard work, determination and some smart planning, you really are capable of so much more than you think. Don’t ever underestimate what you are capable of. Remember to dream big and aim highWhile it’s important to dream big, it can seem overwhelming  when we set huge goals. We can be unsure how to get there, resulting in nothing gets done at all. So while you should dream big, it’s important to plan small. Break down your big goals into smaller ones and then tackle them individually. When it’s broken down into achievable phases, it feels more manageable and you are more likely to keep moving ahead.
For e.g; If you want to run a marathon, you would start with a goal of running 10k, rather than just focusing on the entire 26.2 to start. Then ensure you celebrate each milestone along the way. This will help keep you working hard and motivated. It’s really important to surround yourself with people who are like-minded and supportive. Don’t try and do it all alone. Ask your family and friends, or even find yourself a mentor or coach that can support you along the way. The more positive influences you have around when working towards these goals, the better. It’s also a great motivation when you find someone who has already achieved what you want and can help guide you through the process.
Simply wanting something is not enough. Reaching your goals is no one else’s responsibility but your own. Goals written down on a piece of paper are a great idea, but if you don’t go out there and take action, then what’s the point! You must do everything you can to get what you want. If the overall task seems hard, break it down and do something small each day. Taking small steps consistently over time will eventually lead you to reaching your goals. As the saying goes, it may not happen overnight but it will happen, as long as you keep taking action.

Manage Your Environment Fly First Class by Mitali Raje PGDM Manager HR Aircrews Aviation Pvt Ltd.

The environment plays an important role in the healthy living of human beings. The environment is everything around us.
All our surroundings including the air, soil, water, plants, and animals make up the environment.
The environment is a commonly used word that is related to the living beings' components and other components and how they interact together, in order to exist.
It regulates the relationship between these life’s components. A human being is one important component of the environment it is related to the other parts of the environment in how he or she adapts to live within the different environmental conditions for example climate, water, food in addition to the society.
As a result, to talk about the environment, it can be summarized in the middle that the living beings live in and how they interact in this middle and together.
To divide environments’ sorts we can mention 3 kinds of environments Natural, industrial, and social environment.
Natural Environment:
Include water, light, land, air and all organisms that live in nature.
Industrial environment:
Include cities, villages, factories and all humans’ synthesis.
Social environment:
Include authorities, universities, schools, companies and other establishments along with their output legal and their communication ways.
For easy understanding, enviornment can also be said as everything living, non-living components around us that affect our mind, body and perceptions. In service industry where the only way an entrepreneur can make his customers remember him is by giving them the FIRST CLASS - EXPERIENCE.
Yes, experience plays an very important role in this service industry.
Especially in the Airline industry where the experience of the passengers in not solely dependent on the airline but also on its fellow passengers. It is very important for an airline what kind of enviornment it creates for its customers so that this inter dependent experience is remembered by them as FIRST CLASS.
Few years back we are all aware of the Airline controversy that happened in 2017, where in passenger was forcefully thrown out of the airplane due to over booking because of which he was heavily injured. Followed by the same many customers lost their baggages while travelling with the same airline and many such incidents happened with the same airline.
Which made the customer question the kind of experience they would be getting in this enviornment. resulting to which the same airline saw a major dip in the revenues in the following months and years and it took significant time for them to recover from the losses ofthe same.
From the above example we understand the kind of enviornment an airline creates and the experienvce that the passengers derive from it is very cruicial.
Even though the passenger might have not bought a FIRST CLASS ticket for his/her travel the experience and the treatment given to these passenger should make them feel like a FIRST CLASS passenger in order to win the customer for lifetime!

BELIEVE YOU CAN SUCCEED AND YOU WILL

BELIEVE YOU CAN SUCCEED AND YOU WILL!

Every human being wants success. Everybody wants the best this life can deliver. No one likes feeling second-class and feeling forced to go that way. In our childhood certain things can  make a deeper impact on us, still we are not able to come out of it. It can be either a positive impact or a negative one. But luckily I have experienced the positive one. When I was in my primary school . My teacher used to wrote quote on blackboard. That was  ”Try and try you will win” .At that age I was wondered what is there writing  this quote in board .But later I witnessed there are so many  success stories  behind this quote .
Belief in great results is the driving force, the power behind all great books, plays, scientific discoveries. Belief in success is behind every successful business, church, and political organization. Belief in success is the one basic, absolutely essential ingredient of successful people. Believe, really believe, you can succeed, and you will.
Believing in yourself – a critical step on the path to success
Sometimes the difference in whether you succeed or whether you don’t comes down to one simple thing – believing in yourself. Have you ever thought about how much believing in yourself makes a difference in your quality of life? Think about it for a minute. If you don’t really believe that you can do something, you are not going to give your full effort and, without your full effort, your chances of successfully achieving your goal are greatly reduced.
Also, if your goal requires help from others, you then need them to believe in you. If you don’t believe in yourself; why would they believe in you. Every successful goal that you ever achieve will have one common thing that they require i.e. that you believe in yourself.
Why believing in yourself  is so important:
A strong belief in yourself can bring you all these benefits and more:
•        You recognise your ability to accomplish goals
•        You’re optimistic about the future as you set goals and achieve them
•        Deep down inside, you know you can do anything.

•        You treat yourself kindly

•        You feel uplifted and more satisfied with life

•        You’re motivated to get things done

•        You have faith, no matter what

•        You see and enjoy the abundance around you

•        Others feel attracted to you.

Believing in yourself made easy
Whether you feel lacking in this area or just want to strengthen your belief for the extra benefits, try these ideas to further develop your self-belief:

1. Have confidence in your own abilities to get something done
Be your own best cheerleader and encourage yourself to get your tasks done. Learn to break down your challenges into small steps until you know that you can do it.
I learned this tactics when my higher studies was struggling to pick up my mathematics subject . I was weak in mathematics subject and I failed in my internals ,But I don’t Want to give up ,I prepared a plan a month before board exams and believe in myself and implement successfully. Well . I was astonished that I secured A grade in my mathematics paper. Believing in yourself can be difficult when you are facing a big and daunting goal but when you break it down into bit size actions, it becomes so much easier. The support of others will definitely benefit you, but it is you who must make the changes necessary for you to start believing in yourself.
Key Point
If you are going to start believing in yourself, it is you who must make the change. Others cannot make you believe in yourself; they can only be supportive. If a goal seems too big for you, then keep breaking it down until you reach a point where you do believe you can do it. You can then grow your self-belief from there.

2. Create dreams
Whether it’s getting the career you want, obtaining more training, meeting someone you admire, traveling to a faraway place, or setting a goal to save a million dollars; connect with your dreams.
We often get put off from pursuing our dreams because we don’t believe in our ability to make them happen. What we forget is that it takes time to achieve a big goal or dream. In the time it takes to achieve that goal/dream, you also have the time to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to achieve it.
Don’t base your beliefs in tomorrow’s success on the abilities you possess today. Believe in your ability to learn and grow.
When you create a vision or dream for the life you want, you give yourself something to aim for. You have criteria which you can use to make your decisions and; you start to realise that you do not have to be great at everything. All you really need to do is develop a few key skills and some specific knowledge.Just knowing that you don’t need to be great at everything can take away a great deal of self-doubt.
Key Point
Sometimes your difficulties in believing in yourself can stem from the fact that you haven’t really given yourself anything to believe in. When you develop a clear vision for what you want, start developing strategies for realising that vision and start achieving small goals along the way; you increase your self-belief, one small step at a time.
 3. Establish goals and go for the gold
Believing in yourself means you’re motivated to get things done. Get into the habit of setting goals (both short-term and long-term). Then, you can take active steps to achieve them. With every goal that you achieve, no matter how small, your confidence will increase.
Believing in yourself is not some miracle of fate; it comes from creating a track record of achievement. That track record starts with setting goals.
It is not just the completion and achievement of the goal which increases your self-belief. As you complete each task along the way to the achievement of the goals, you give yourself a little boost.

It is easy to think that self-belief is something that you either have or you don’t or; that it comes in one moment. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Self-belief is built step by step, action by action. Lacking self-belief is not a sign of failure, it is just a sign that you need to start building that belief.
Key Point
Goals are a very effective way to build your self-belief because properly set goals require you to stretch a little outside of your comfort zone; causing you to expand your comfort zone as you achieve the goal.
 4. Treat yourself well
Treating yourself with a nurturing nature and the understanding that you’re a deserving human being is an important aspect of developing belief in yourself.
As you begin to see yourself as worthy of being treated with respect, others begin to get that message too. For those who don’t get that message, you will come to the realisation that they should have no place in your life.
We all know how it is important to treat others with respect and dignity. When they screw up, we usually go easy on them because we know that we make mistakes too. We understand that mistakes are a natural part of life.

Unfortunately, when we make the mistake ourselves; all that goes out the window. Rather than treat ourselves with respect and dignity, accepting that it was an honest mistake; we berate and admonish ourselves.

When we behave like this, we send a message to ourselves that we are not of value and, we can’t be trusted. We send the same message to anyone who witnesses our over the top behaviour.
Treat yourself with respect and care and then demand the same from others.
Key Point
It is often said that you should treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. It is just as important to treat yourself with the same respect and dignity that you would offer to others.
 5. Ensure motivation is high
Remember the childhood story about the little engine that could? When you want to accomplish your tasks with excellence and achieve your goals, it’s an incredible testament to your level of motivation. Build momentum to fuel your motivation.
To ensure your motivation for your biggest goals, take the time to understand why you want to achieve them. You should also regularly take the time to visualise your life as it will be once you have achieved the goal i.e. you will be living the benefits.
The old saying that where there is a will there is a way is very true. When you reinforce your motivation like this, you will create an iron-clad will to achieve your goal and you will find a way to make it happen. Believing in yourself is that powerful.
Key Point
When you build your motivation and create a strong enough desire, you will often find that you don’t have to think about whether you can or cannot do something. Your desire is so strong that you just start working on it. You become determined to ‘do it or die trying.’ Again, as you progress, you build your self-belief each step of the way.

6. During the tough times, keep the faith
No one is immune from experiencing rocky chapters in his life. But if you believe in yourself, you can meet those challenging phases with a positive, solid fortitude. You’ll push forward, move through the trying moments and know you’ll come out on the other side smarter, stronger and surer of yourself.
During the tough times, remind yourself of how you have gotten through tough times before. Think about how you had the resilience and toughness to get through it. Summon that resilience and you will soon start to fight back.
Then, as with the first step in this article, focus on what you can do on a daily basis to come out on the other side of the difficulties. You will gain even more confidence as you take each step but you must start with some self-belief.
Life is a journey and like any other journey, you are going to take some wrong turns. You are going to need to correct your course from time to time. So, don’t let setbacks get to you. Just identify the changes you need to make, make them and move on.
Key Point
It can be of great value to keep a record of the tough times that you go through and, how you got through them. This will help you to keep believing in yourself when things go wrong. Because things will go wrong but, if you are prepared to adjust your course, you have nothing to fear and, plenty to learn from these tough experiences.
 7. Recognise the bounty you have
Regardless of what stage of life you’re living, search for the good all around you. Get the most you can from each moment. Live in the moment and be determined to focus on and, be grateful for, all of the good things that are in your life.
When you are feeling down it is very tempting to think that your life is 100% bad but that is rarely the case. Learn to compartmentalise i.e. if one area of your life is not working, don’t automatically assume that every area of your life is bad; keep your sense of disappointment solely for the area where you are underperforming.
Then focus on each area of your life and spend a little time being appreciative for all the good things e.g. if you are struggling at work you may remind yourself of your successes such as:
•        Your loving partner and kids
•        Your great friends
•        Your performance at the gym
•        Your ability to look after your health

You could literally be grateful for anything positive in your life. The important thing is that you take the time to recognise the positives and appreciate them.
Also, don’t wait for something to go wrong before you find something in your life to be grateful for. Take a little time each day to practice gratitude and whenever you achieve any success in your life, no matter how small, celebrate it.
Key Point
Believing in yourself is much easier when you realise all the good that is in your life. When things go wrong, it is easy to forget that your life has so many wonderful people and things in it. But practicing gratitude each day can correct that problem. Be grateful for all the positives, at every opportunity and, you will have lot more faith in yourself.
Conclusion
Believing in yourself is one of the most powerful choices you can make and, it is a choice. In the face of adversity, any of the seven steps, outlined above, can prove to be difficult but they are choices which you can make. If you dedicate yourself to fostering self-belief and set aside a little time each day for working on it; you will soon find that you have greater resilience when the tough times come. You will stand strong, safe in the knowledge that no matter what life throws at you, you will be able to work through it. Practice these strategies and you’ll discover the sheer joy and comfort of knowing you can do whatever it is you choose when you believe in yourself.
