Let's cover the most important pillar of getting a job. Resume writing skills. Although, there are many online sites and applications which offer you premade templates to give a structure for your resume but still the main body part you only have to create. So, let's start 😀
Creating ATS friendly CV: As we must be aware that most of the companies are preferring ATS tools for doing the hiring rather than using conventional methods. So our CV should be modified. Always try to write a CV on our own rather than copying it from AI tools or from the web because ATS would be easily able to catch the plagiarism and your profile might not get to the point of getting interviewed.
Modifying CV for making it ATS friendly:
To make the CVs more ATS friendly and to make CVs get the attention of interviewers first is by adding the major keywords in your CV. Now what I mean by keyword is adding the major skills which the job requires, requirements, tools and any such related keywords which are the important part of job and one can search for it while looking for a candidate.
Editing CV for every job application:
This one might sound a little tiring but it's the most effective trick you can use to get the job. Edit to CV according to the job requirement before applying for any job application. Because what happens is that by using our old CVs we are not justifying our skills and experience according to the new job applications whereas you might fulfill all the requirements and have the good experience skills flexible with tools required. But just by not adding or explaining it properly your profile might miss the chance of getting even viewed.
Keep the CV short but efficient:
It's never about unnecessarily making your CVs lengthy but write it with grace and efficiency to try to cover up your experience and knowledge. Add all the tools you are well versed with and your certifications achievements.
Acknowledgement and Flexibility to learn:
Don’t forget to give acknowledgement and your openness toward learning. This might sound like an usual line. You can differentiate it by giving some examples of how you learnt new things and got adaptable with the new summary.
Summary:
Don’t miss to add a short summary at the end including why you are interested in this job and how your vision matches with company goals and what makes you the best candidate for the job.
