Air Bagan's Fokker-100, made forced emergency landing Crash-Landed two miles from Heho Airport,

A Burma plane carrying 65 passengers including foreign tourists crash-landed in eastern Shan state on Tuesday, leaving two people dead and 11 others injured, the airline and officials said.

Air Bagan said the aircraft, an ageing Fokker-100, was forced to make an emergency landing two miles (three kilometres) from Heho airport, which is the gateway to the popular tourist destination of Inle Lake.

“One passenger who was missing was found dead inside the plane. We are still trying to identify who the dead passenger is,” the carrier announced in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

The victim was an 11-year-old child, according to the information ministry, which added that four foreigners were among those hurt in the accident.

Another person was killed when the plane struck a motorbike on a road near the airport, it said.

The exact circumstances of the incident were not immediately clear, but a government official said a fire was reported in one of the engines as it approached Heho airport at around 9 am (0230 GMT).

“Because of the emergency landing near the airport, the plane broke up in the middle,” the official told AFP on condition of anonymity, adding that passengers were evacuated.

A local tour guide waiting at the airport for passengers on the Air Bagan flight to arrive said the fire had “burnt almost the whole plane”.

Air Bagan spokesman Ye Min Oo said the two pilots among the injured were taken to hospital, although their condition was not immediately known.

“The cause of the accident is not clear yet. Only the pilots will know the cause, but we can’t contact them yet as they have been sent to hospital,” he said.

Air Bagan is one of several domestic carriers seeking to profit from a tourist boom in Burma as it emerges from decades of military rule. It is owned by Tay Za, a tycoon known for his close links to the former junta.

The airline operates two Fokker 100 jets, which are no longer manufactured.

Long isolated from the world under decades of junta rule, the Southeast Asian nation has seen an influx of tourists and business travellers in recent months following a raft of political reforms.

The surge in demand for air travel has stretched Burma’s aviation infrastructure, in particular in remote airports.

Rangoon International Airport, the country’s main terminal, is set to exceed its limit of 2.7 million passengers this year and the Department of Civil Aviation warned in July it needs urgent upgrading.

Unintentional Entrepreneurs Global Recession breeds new class of ‘Unintentional Entrepreneurs’

Char Reed is an Unintentional Entrepreneurs – pushed by financial need into starting a small business of drawing digital pet caricatures after her car sputtered out as she drove home from work.

Intentional or unintentional, she’s not alone. Entrepreneurship rates over the past 15 years peaked in 2009 and 2010 at 340 per 100,000 adults, according to the 2011 Kauffman Index of Entrepreneurial Activity, which tracks the country’s new businesses.

That rate declined in 2011 to 320 per 100,000 adults.

More people turned to self-employment during the recession, said Dane Stangler, director of entrepreneurship for the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, which maintains the annual index.

“Mostly it is people who were laid off and in some cases people who were worried that they were going to be laid off,” said Fred Gebarowski, director of Wake Tech’s (N.C.) Small Business Center.

Like Reed, Aaron and Natalie Miller became entrepreneurs after unexpected circumstances compelled them to start their own businesses.

In August, Reed, 28, received an email from a Massachusetts man seeking to commission a portrait of his St. Bernard. He had discovered Reed’s 2-year-old graphic design and fantasy genre website, which included her pet caricatures. Reed’s car died a week later.

“With the car situation, that was the little push,” Reed said. She quit her part-time job at Michaels arts and crafts store – which required a 30-minute commute – moved in with her parents and focused on building a business around her illustrations.

Reed is now making the equivalent of her Michaels salary and has been swamped with the holiday rush. But she is already planning a Super Bowl promotion.

“I could draw your dog or your cat wearing a jersey or a hat, something like that,” Reed said.

The Millers started Solid Builders, a remodeling and construction business, after Aaron Miller, 39, was laid off in 2003.

In the beginning, the business didn’t bring in enough money to support the family, Natalie Miller said.

“We survived because of my job and my income,” said Natalie Miller, a former marketing and event planner. “We lived simple lives and spent our money wisely.”

She quit her job in 2007 to build the business and to spend more time with her kids. The Millers created a website and joined Internet directories.

Natalie Miller developed a project management process that involved tracking leads and making follow-up calls.

“We saw improvements within the first month, and a huge improvement over a year,” Natalie Miller said.

How to Think Positive when you are really Tired?

I have a problem that has been bugging me for a while.
I'm constantly tired, I basically sleep all day.
I don't know if that's due to my depression or what.
The point is that I know what I "have" to do in order to feel better.
I also read The Abraham's book Ask and It's Given and read a lot of the content from Stingray.

But the problem is that usually even to change negative thinking into positive thinking is too much for me. I just don't have enough energy.

I know it sounds stupid but I don't know what to do anymore. Even going to the toilet is a struggle for me. People told me several times just make yourself do it and sometimes I make myself and do it but most of the time I don't and just give up to the negative (automatic) thinking.

I would really appreciate any advices what to do. Thanks. Have a great day all of you. :) Tim

If Life Close one Small Door There is a Bigger Door too

If Life Close one Small Door
There is a Bigger Door too
You needs to come out from your
Comfort Zone and Open that

When we first talked to each other
I knew we would always be friends.
Our friendship has kept on growing
And I'll be here for you to the end.

You listen when I have a problem
And help dry the tears from my face.
You take away my sorrow
And put happiness in its place.

We can't forget the fun we've had
Laughing 'til our faces turn blue.
Talking of things only we find funny
People think we're insane-If they only knew!

I guess this is my way of saying thanks
For catching me when I fall.
Thanks once again for being such a good friend
And being here with me through it all.

2012 will go down as the Year of Cloud Computing

2012 has been a challenge and a year of recovery and change for Northern Nevada. If you are reading this, then you have survived the end-of-time hype of the Mayan calendar prophecies and probably are resigned to continue your march toward the new year. As you contemplate the beginning of a new calendar, it is a good time to review 2012 and see where past developments portend new opportunities.

One of the biggest local announcements was Apple’s decision to build a data center and office space in the region. While this is great news for our local economy, the real benefits will come from the name recognition and the diversification that this type of industry can bring. Technology-focused businesses like Apple, Intuit and Microsoft attract and develop a new type of workforce that will positively influence the economy, education and our community for years to come.

I believe that 2012 was the year of the cloud. While I have been writing about cloud computing for some time, 2012 seemed like the tipping point for cloud adoption. We personally migrated hundreds of desktops from premise-based Microsoft mail services to cloud solutions delivered thorough Microsoft’s Office 365 platform. During the past 12 months, Microsoft and many other technology providers have built and enhanced cloud services for both business and personal use.

Cloud storage and solutions for backup, sharing files and collaboration have exploded. Everyone I know now uses cloud solutions for both business and personal services. Because these services are centrally delivered and managed, they will grow and develop faster than traditional software services.

Every year brings new hardware and software developments that can change the way we work and play. Technologies like the iPad and Android tablets have redefined computing, application delivery and mobility. 2012 brought us a new platform developed by Microsoft and designed to work across phones, personal computers, tablets and entertainment systems.

The introduction of Windows 8, the Surface tablet and the Phone 8 operating system, coupled with Microsoft’s new cloud storage and application services, promises to deliver enhanced capabilities to business users. All of these devices are touch-enabled and provide a common user interface and application set. This development will give business users the ability to access, edit and share data using familiar software tools from any device.

Technology continues to advance at a dizzying pace, the question is how do you best adopt it or take advantage of it to enhance your business and personal life. Technology has the power to consume you or to enhance your productivity and creativity.

Next week, I’ll take a look at the technologies and companies that will influence our lives in 2013.
