Precautions in making vermicompost

1. While making vermicompost Manure, keep in mind that there is no shortage of moisture. Keep sprinkling water as needed to maintain moisture.

2. While making compost, keep in mind that do not use any material in it which does not decompose or material which does not rot such as plastic, iron, glass etc.

3. Keep the compost pile covered.

4. The temperature of the Vermi Compost bed should not exceed 35 degree centigrade.

5. Keep earthworms away from ants and frogs, they are their enemies.

6. Do not mix any chemical fertilizer and  insecticides in the composting material.

7. Do not allow water to fill around the compost bed.

का उपयोग कैसे करें?

गमलों में लगे पौधों के लिए, मुख्य तने से दूर पौधे के आधार पर महीने में 2-3 बार 150-250 ग्राम वर्मीकम्पोस्ट लगाएं

गमलों में भरते समय मिट्टी के बराबर मात्रा में वर्मी कम्पोस्ट का प्रयोग करें

वर्मी कम्पोस्ट के फायदे

1. केंचुए द्वारा तैयार खाद में पोषक तत्वों की मात्रा साधारण खाद से अधिक होती है।

2. भूमि की उर्वरता बढ़ती है।

वर्मीकम्पोस्ट बनाने में सावधानियां

1. वर्मीकम्पोस्ट खाद बनाते समय इस बात का ध्यान रखें कि नमी की कमी न हो। नमी बनाए रखने के लिए आवश्यकतानुसार पानी का छिड़काव करते रहें।

2. कम्पोस्ट बनाते समय इस बात का ध्यान रखें कि उसमें कोई ऐसी सामग्री का प्रयोग न करें जो सड़ती न हो या ऐसी सामग्री जो सड़ती न हो जैसे प्लास्टिक, लोहा, कांच आदि।

3. कम्पोस्ट के ढेर को ढक कर रखें।

4. वर्मी कम्पोस्ट के बिस्तर का तापमान 35 डिग्री सेंटीग्रेड से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए।

5. केंचुओं को चींटियों और मेंढकों से दूर रखें, ये इनके शत्रु होते हैं।

6. कंपोस्टिंग सामग्री में किसी भी तरह का रासायनिक खाद और कीटनाशक न मिलाएं।

7. कंपोस्ट बेड के आसपास पानी न भरने दें।
