The Tale from the Hills
The year was 2008. In Dharamshala, Life was slow, Simple, and filled with Small joys.
Ridhiya and Shradha sat together in School, sharing tiffin, Laughing at little things, and talking about their Future.
Ridhiya would always say,
"I want a big job… big City… big Life."
Shradha would smile and reply,
"I just want to enjoy and live Happy Life… wherever I am."
Back then, both sounded right.
Life Takes Its Turn
Years passed.
Ridhiya worked hard and got into a big MNC Abroad. The kind of company everyone dreams of. Good Salary, great exposure, a Life that looked perfect from the outside.
Shradha stayed back in Dharamshala. She didn’t run behind big titles. She started a Small café where People came to relax, talk, and just breathe.
One chose Growth.
The other chose peace.
Meeting Again — 2026
After many years, Ridhiya came back.
She looked Successful—well dressed, confident, always on her phone. Even while walking, she was replying to emails.
Shradha was the same—Simple, calm, smiling.
They met outside Shradha’s café.
No rush. No noise. Just a quiet hug.
Two Different Days
Ridhiya shared her Life first.
“My day starts with calls… and ends with calls,” she said.
“Meetings, deadlines, pressure… it never really stops. Even weekends don’t feel like weekends anymore.”
She paused.
“I earn well… but I’m always Tired.”
Shradha listened.
“My day starts with sunlight,” she said softly.
“I open the café, talk to People, read sometimes… help travelers… and by evening, I feel done, in a good way.”
She smiled.
“I don’t have a big Salary… but I have my time.”
A Small Realization
Ridhiya looked around.
Mountains.
Fresh air.
Silence.
For the first time in a long time, she wasn’t thinking about the next task.
“I didn’t realize how much I needed this,” she said quietly.
The Real Difference
Ridhiya had everything she once wanted—
a big MNC job, money, a fast Life.
But her mind was always busy.
Shradha had a Simple Life—
no big titles, no big rush.
But her mind was calm.
What They Understood
As the sun started setting behind the hills, Ridhiya said,
“I thought Success would make me Happy.”
Shradha replied gently,
“Maybe happiness is what makes Life Success ful.”
And sitting there, in the quiet of Dharamshala, it felt clear:
You don’t always need a bigger Life.
Sometimes, you just need a better one.
