A Single Engine Trainer Aircraft Dimond D40 Flown by a Trainee Pilot Sohel Ansari crashed in the Pachmarhi hills of Madhya Pradesh killing the Pilot Suhel Ansari on Tuesday.
The plane belonging to Rae Bareli's Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Academy (IGRUA) had taken off from Gondia's Birsi Airport around 1220 Hrs on Tuesday. After some time, the ATC lost contact with the Aircraft and Sohel Ansari .
The body of the Pilot Sohail Ansari was found on Wednesday near Belakheda in the Pachmarhi hills. It is gathered that the IGRUA conducts some of its training flights from Gondia Airport that houses the Rajiv Gandhi National Flying Institute.
A 20 Year old pilot, who went missing with his D 40 Aircraft after Taking Off from Gondia in Maharasthra on December 24, was found dead in a remote forest area in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday.
Debris of his D 40 Aircraft was found scattered in Jungles of Sitadongri around 140 Kilometers from Chhindwara district headquarters.
The training Aircraft DS - 40 of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udan Academy (IGRUA) went missing on December 24, near Panchmarhi hill station of Madhya Pradesh.
The deceased Pilot Sohail Ansari, 20, son of Mr Jahiruddin is Resident of Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh and has relatives in Maharastra, was currently residing at Tadiwala Road in Pune.
"Solo flying is a mandatory requirement in the course so he was flying solo. A team from DGCA along with our team is going to the spot for inquiry.
