How Bank systematically cheats

Beware !

How Bank systematically cheats

SIP Systematic Investment Plan (SIP)

or

SIP Systematic Cheating Plan

A special SIP series for members who want to do SIP on an Agents calls. Systematic Investment Plan is not a 100% systematic is what I am going to talk .

There are a number of Bankers who cheat people. As they have big sales tragets.

BEWARE OF HDFC ULIP policies. They are cheating people without giving proper facts.
I recently bought a ULIP from HDFC, the manager informed me the commission charged by the bank is 2.5% of the total investment.
After a week I got the recipt of the ULIP and it showed investement of only 40%. The remaining 60% was missing. When enquired from the bank, they say the commision is 60% for the first year, 50% for the next year & 3 rd year is nil, but if you continue the policy after 3 years then again the the commision starts from 60%.
Be very careful of these cheats.

the policy is a crap. one manager in the bank cheated us will all false information.
We gave a complaint and is of no use.
we lost hard earned one lakh because of them.
we went to put 25000 in some other ulip plan other than hdfc, that buy made us put 1, 00, 000 in HDFC ulip, telling that 1st year alone, pay 1, 00, 000 and from next yera pay ionly 10000.now they are telling there is nothing like that and every year we need to pay 100000 and they took service tax as 30 %. do never believe this bank's people, they have employees ONLY to cheat people like us.

HDFC agents told me that if we continue the policy after 3 years for 2 years more, it will yield us profit..
but when you say that the commission again they take is 60%, so what to do in that case?
Should i continue after 3 years or not
and also should i reduce the premium for my 3rd year..as the value for my money is constantly decreasing
Please suggest

HDFC ULIPS are cheats.

Their ULIPS are not performing.

I invested 50, 000 in first year, the bank agent did not tell anything about the 30% comission.. and the investment is worth 28, 000+

I did not invest any more for second and third year.

I will not be surprised they wrap up their business.

Cheats Cheats Cheats !

Big time cheaters they are! I paid premium for 4 years, and the NAV changed from 60+ to 80+ still when I check my balance, it is couple of thousands loss!!! because of their charges and for 2nd year reinstantiation of the lapsed policy they cheated me big time by cutting down my units as per the latest NAV for the whole amount I paid for 2 years

its not survival of the fittest, its the survival of the wittiest..
An agent also cheated me three years back that i am making a smart investment,

they took almost 50% (300000) of my total investment at the time of surrendering after 3 years...Imagine, this is not at all ethical..

any way this is a good lesson learned..its not too late now to cancel or surrendering your ULIP policy, mark my words...

Better to get some small interest in FD !! from my returned/ surrendered amount.

Southwest to end daily Flights between Philadelphia and Raleigh-Durham

Southwest Airlines Co., which came to Philadelphia in 2004 with the promise of friendly service and lower fares, will end daily nonstop flights to Raleigh-Durham N.C. on March 8.

Only US Airways Group Inc. will fly that route, with nine weekday nonstops to Raleigh-Durham. Passengers can expect ticket prices to rise.

Southwest has retreated in Philadelphia, and in January eliminated nonstop service to Pittsburgh, Providence, R.I., Manchester, N.H. and Jacksonville, Fla. In February, Southwest ended Philadelphia-Boston service.

The Dallas-based carrier, which last year acquired AirTran Airways, has gone from a peak of 71 daily nonstops to 20 cities from Philadelphia, to 33 daily nonstops to 12 cities now, said spokesman Paul Flaningan.

With the March 2013 schedule, Southwest will increase the frequency of flights between Philadelphia and Chicago Midway from six daily roundtrips to seven dailies, the carrier said. AirTran will add a new seasonal round-trip between Philadelphia and Tampa Bay.

"Since 2008, and the economy and coming out of the recession, we continue to optimize our flights and we're going to move flights where there's not much demand to areas where we are seeing demand," Flaningan said. "To remain profitable, we've got to fly where there's demand."

Southwest has expanded in some cities, including Atlanta and Denver. US Airways, with an international hub in Philadelphia and 453 daily flights, can make money on routes, where Southwest may not, because it takes passengers from the Philadelphia hub on to many other destinations and do not depend only on traffic beginning and ending journeys in those cities.

For consumers, the advantage of competition is lower fares.

video that shows Geetika Sharma at Gopal Kanda's election rally

Sirsa: Former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda may have been evasive about his links with Geetika Sharma, but NDTV has accessed a video which shows Ms Sharma accompanying Mr Kanda at an election rally in Sirsa.

The Haryana politician was named in the suicide note left behind by Geetika, who hanged herself in her home in Delhi on August 5. He was arrested on August 18 after being on the run for nearly 10 days and is presently in police custody.

The video, shot during an election rally in 2009, shows Geetika sharing the dais along with other stars like stand-up comedians Saloni and Bharti. Also seen is Rati Agnihotri.

Gopal Kanda probed by Delhi Police; missing hard drives could hold the key
Geetika's family alleges that Mr Kanda was harassing the 23-year-old, who had worked in several of his companies. He has been charged with abetment to suicide, criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence. The charge of abetting suicide under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Searches at his office in Gurgaon have helped the police locate hard drives that allegedly have copies of emails between Mr Kanda and Geetika.

The police has told the Delhi High Court that Mr Kanda with his employee Aruna Chaddha, who is also a co-accused in the case, had been pressuring Ms Sharma for a number of years to ensure that she continued to work with his MDLR group of companies; they even visited Dubai when Ms Sharma was working with an airline there, to coerce her to return, the police has alleged. But Mr Kanda has denied the charges.

The police have also told the court that it has prima facie evidence against Mr Kanda and Ms Chaddha, who has also been charged with abetment to suicide and criminal intimidation of Ms Sharma.

Philippine Airlines announced on Tuesday it had ordered 54 Airbus aircraft with a list price of $7 billion

Philippine Airlines announced on Tuesday it had ordered 54 Airbus aircraft with a list price of $7 billion, and planned to buy dozens more planes in a spectacular move to rejuvenate Asia's oldest carrier.

"The orders we are placing with Airbus will play a key role in revitalising PAL and growing trade and tourism in this country," PAL chairman Lucio Tan said in a statement.

In a separate statement Airbus said the "firm orders" were for 34 single-aisle A321 ceo planes, 10 of the newer-model A321 neo models and 10 long-haul A330-300s, and delivery would start next year.

PAL said the orders had a list price of $7 billion dollars.

PAL president Ramon Ang told reporters at a press conference announcing the deal that the carrier intended to buy 100 new aircraft in total.

"Our intention is to buy up to 100 aircraft, 26 of that will be long range, wide body," Ang told reporters, adding all the planes would be bought and none leased.

The announcement comes after San Miguel, one of the Philippines' biggest conglomerates, bought a 49-per cent stake in the loss-making carrier for $500 million in April, and took over management.

Ang is president of San Miguel although billionaire Tan, an ethnic Chinese tycoon who is the country's second-wealthiest man, remains PAL's controlling shareholder.

PAL, which began flying in 1941, reported a net loss of $33.5 million in the three months to December, reversing a profit of $15.1 million from the same period the previous year.

It had said the losses were mainly due to soaring fuel costs, and added that it was looking for fresh money to upgrade its fleet.

However the airline's reputation had also declined, with passengers complaining of old planes, limited flight options and poor service.

PAL has had to watch its status as the nation's top carrier slide in recent years, giving up the mantle to low-cost rival Cebu Pacific.

PAL was also forced to cut hundreds of flights in September last year after a day-long wildcat strike by ground crew who were protesting the outsourcing of 2,600 catering, airport services and call centre reservation jobs.

It took the airline more than a month to cut the flight backlog, however Tan won the battle against the determined unions to outsource the jobs and cut costs.

PAL's current fleet is made up of 39 aircraft that fly to 31 foreign cities and destinations. Thirty-one of those are Airbus planes. The other eight are Boeing aircraft.

Internet Savvy voters targeted on Social Media

The US Republican and Democratic conventions have traditionally targeted television viewers above all - but this year's will see an unprecedented effort to reach voters via social media.
In the last presidential election four years ago, Facebook, Twitter and other platforms were not yet the ubiquitous force they are now - even if Barack Obama was among the first to use online tools in a major way for electoral ends.
It was arguably not until the US mid-term elections in 2010 that social media, including YouTube and Flickr, really took off as key tools in the politicians' communications armory.
The Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida and the Democratic gathering in Charlotte, North Caroline next month, confirm the trend, with huge teams of staff members dedicated to reaching voters online.
"Wherever you live, whatever device you use, we want you to engage as an active participant in this convention," the convention's chief executive William Harris said last week.
"This convention is about every American's future, and everyone has a stake in it so we created a 'Convention without Walls' to make this the most open and accessible event in history."
In addition to the inevitable Twitter and Facebook pages, both parties have set up stall on YouTube, photo sharing sites Flickr and Pinterest, and the Google + and Foursquare networks, as well as an array of smartphone applications.
In Tampa, a Google Media Lounge created in partnership with the search giant, "will serve as command headquarters for monitoring, engaging and building online community to amplify convention messages," its website said.
An online Conversation Room will also allow speakers to send messages and photos on Twitter and Facebook, or give interviews by Skype, before or after they actually address the convention.
The Democratic National Convention - whose Facebook page had three times as many "likes" as its Republican equivalent on Friday - has organized a "Tweetup" in the run-up to the Obama party's talkfest.
It has given a behind-the-scenes look to a group of volunteers at the planning and construction of the convention, inviting them to share their thoughts and photos, online ahead of the Sept 4-6 convention.
The Democratic gathering's chief executive, Steve Kerrigan, said - in a video released on YouTube, naturally - that the Charlotte gathering would be "the most open and accessible one in history".
